It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the 6th Annual Diwali Mela Chicago 2025.

Despite our team’s dedicated efforts and the generous support of the National India Hub, we were unable to achieve the level of sponsorship and booth participation necessary to deliver the vibrant, high-quality celebration that our community deserves. In all the years we have organized Diwali Mela Chicago, this is the first time we have had to make such a difficult decision.

We understand how disappointing this news is—especially for all the participants, performers, and community members who have worked tirelessly in preparation for the event. We truly share your disappointment and understand how you feel about this cancellation, but at this point, we have no other choice. Rather than move forward with a smaller or less successful version of the festival, we believe it is better to pause this year and return stronger next time.

We remain deeply grateful to every volunteer, supporter, and well-wisher who stood with us throughout this journey. To all booth holders who have already made payments, please be assured that your full amount will be refunded promptly.

While this year’s cancellation saddens us, we are already working toward Diwali Mela Chicago 2026, with plans for exciting new features and an even more engaging community experience. We look forward to coming back bigger, brighter, and stronger next year—with your continued encouragement and blessings.
